Atherston Hall

Amid Colonial and Victorian homes of Prince George in historic Urbanna, you'll discover a delightful bed and breakfast at Atherston Hall.

Atherston Hall was originally the home of Captain James H. Bohannon, commander of the 'Legonia', an ocean schooner owned by William B. Hurst of Baltimore. In 1880, Captain Bohannon married the girl next door, Virginia Parrish of the adjacent tavern (circa 1742).

Nestled between the scenic Rappahannock River to the north and Urbanna Creek to the east, guests are encouraged to take a Walking Tour of Urbanna. You will visit sites of historical interest.

Urbanna with its tree lined streets maintains the charm of a century old Chesapeake Bay port town. Located in the historic district. Quaintly placed in the center of town just a stroll away from shops, restaurants and harbours. Enjoy the town park, pool and tennis courts. Bikes are available to tour town.

Guests are welcomed by land or sea for a bed and breakfast complemented by the same port town hospitality which put Urbanna on the charts over 300 years ago.
